Nana's Apple Cake and my First party!

I have to say that my favorite dessert in the entire catalog is Nana's Apple Cake!  I have only tried using it by following the directions on the box, which is to add two eggs and 2 c of chopped apples and baking it for 45 minutes at 350, but it is so wonderful and surprisingly there is a depth of flavors that is really unexpected!  If you haven't had a chance to try it, you really need to do that soon.

My first party closed yesterday and it had $400+ in orders!  I was so excited to see this result.  Now I have my second party tomorrow and there is supposed to be 12 people there!  I am so excited to see success so soon in my business.  Now I just need to fill my calendar for November!  Let me know when you want to schedule your party!

Bountiful Sausage Balls

Dear Friends and Readers- I had the greatest time this weekend trying to make familiar Game Day snacks using new ingredients.  The one I'd like to feature in this blog is what I am calling Bountiful Sausage Balls.

One of Nick's favorite Game Day treats is Sausage balls.  I was also planning to make some Bountiful Beer Bread- Tastefully Simple's most popular item.  I decided however, that I would try to make Sausage Balls using the Bountiful Beer Bread.  THEY WERE AMAZING AND SO SO SIMPLE!

Recipe~
1 package of Tastefully Simple Bountiful Beer Bread
1lb ground sausage- browned
2 cups Monterey Jack Cheese, shredded, but chunks would work too
12oz dark beer ( I used Guinness Draught)

Pour the beer into a mixing bowl and then add the Bountiful Beer Bread mixture.  Stir for 30 seconds.  Add the cooked sausage and the cheese and fold into the batter.  I greased cupcake liners and filled them with the mixture.  I baked them in a pre-heated oven, 350 F for 35-40 minutes.  I removed the papers before serving.

* I was not thorough enough with the cooking spray and some of the liners stuck to the roll, but with a little extra work I was able to get them off.

They did not spread, so I think you could also grease a cookie sheet and place the uncooked balls on them for baking.

For a little butter flavor, try brushing the uncooked sausage rolls with a little butter prior to baking and then again immediately after removing them from the oven. Hope you try this out for your next Game Day!  Contact me if you need to submit an order for your Bountiful Beer Bread so that you can try this tasty recipe!

Making your DREAMS come to LIFE!

Well, there comes a time in your life when you realize that waiting on God no longer means sitting back and waiting for a miracle.  This is when you come to the point where God has worked on your heart and made you understand that you have a role to play in His plan in your life.

As I've come to believe this and believe that He has my best intentions in mind for my family, Nick and I have made a decision.  In order to grow our family we need to do a few things.  All of these options begin with earning extra income.  This is why I have become a Tastefully Simple consultant.  This is why I am always talking about our products and continually visiting this blog to update and share this goal.

While I believe that God is our provider and does not need for us to do anything, He also wants us to have an appreciation for the gifts he gives us.  I think that this is why we need to step out in FAITH and take an active role in making our DREAMS come to LIFE.

Some of you may be wondering why I have chosen this as my business slogan.  Well the honest answer is that I have always dreamed of being a mother.  It is the only dream in my life that has remained the same for as long as I can remember.  In order to make this dream come true Nick and I need to be able to create a life and to do that we need some help with fertility.  Our other more expensive option is to adopt, which would mean that a birth mother would need to make the humble and selfless decision to place her child in the loving arms of another father and mother and trust that they will raise her child better than she could at this time in her life.  Visit my other blog http://hallietx.blogspot.com/ for more of my personal story and journey through this life I have been blessed with.

It is my goal to book at least 4 parties each month.  This can be four taste testing parties, four catalog parties, or four online parties.  If you would like to play a part in making my DREAMS come to LIFE, then please contact me to select a date for your party.  If you would like to begin your journey to making your DREAMS come to LIFE, then contact me and you can begin your business with me.  I'll be glad to show you how easy it really is!

So Excited about Tastefully Simple

So I have recently discovered a great new company.  It is called Tastefully Simple and I am so excited about it.  Everything I have tried has been amazing and the times I have made the products at home I have had amazing results.  Everything is so simple and looks so amazing.  It will turn your everyday average meal into something truly special and amazing.

I have decided to  become a consultant of this amazing company so that I can add money to our adoption savings account.  So in conjunction with selling the product I wanted to begin blogging about the cooking adventures using the products.  To begin this blogging adventure, I will tell you about an amazingly simple chicken meal I made the other day using three standard products- Seasoned Salt $8.99 for 6.75 oz jar, Bacon Bacon $8.99 for 4.25 oz jar, & Garlic Garlic $8.99 for a 4.5 oz jar.

One of the things I love about these products is the big chunks of Garlic and other spices.  It made me wonder what would happen if I mix  about 2Tbls each of these three products and dip my chicken pieces in it before baking them in a roasting pan with olive oil.

The chicken not only looked amazing, but the perfect blend of spices made each bite practically melt in your mouth.  I served it with green beans and scalloped potatoes.  It was glorious!  I don't have my contract in with the company yet, and I can't sell the products yet, but please follow this blog to hear all about the different ways to use this delicious and easy product line.

Make your DREAMS come to LIFE!  Let me tell you how!
